American Association of University Women

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) was founded in 1881 and
is the nation’s most active and diverse organization for college graduates.
AAUW is the oldest and largest national organization working for equity and
the advancement of women through education. When you join AAUW, you join
100,000 members with a long-standing commitment to advocacy for women in
education, employment, and family. AAUW forms a grassroots network of 1300
branches nationwide.

•    WOMEN’S ISSUES
AAUW addresses the economic, social, legislative, and political status of
women. Promoting equity for women is AAUW’s focus. AAUW members across the
country contribute to a more promising future and provide a powerful voice
for women and girls – a voice that cannot and will not be ignored.

•    EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
The Educational Foundation provides funds to advance education, research,
and self-development for women and to foster equity and positive societal

workplace and provides funding and support for women seeking judicial
redress.
